John directs coalition and association management efforts.  He provides strategic guidance and management expertise to industry associations, coalitions, and professional societies.

He has earned a reputation as an innovative association executive.  He led the consolidation in 2005 of three trade associations into the National Association of Surface Finishing, a unified organization for the industry.  His efforts resulted in a more powerful voice to address government regulations, and greater market leverage for thousands of surface finishing firms.

John also created the Performance Track Participants Association (PTPA), an organization to advance the EPA’s National Environmental Performance Track program.  He then served as Executive Director of the organization to build its membership from “start-up” status to more than 300 companies.  He helped the companies share best practices, and work with the EPA and state agencies.  He also created an annual conference with nationally recognized speakers, session topics, an exhibit hall, and networking opportunities.
