Jim Link

Federal Government Relations

American Capitol Group

Link directs NGC lobby efforts for US corporations and industry associations.

He has helped companies such as Kmart and US Steel work with congressional committees and regulatory agencies to mitigate significant market and competitive pressures during periods of economic downturn.

In 2006, he helped Bacardi USA build support in Congress to stop the confiscation of its brands by Cuba, lobbied for the nation’s independent pharmacies to mitigate changes under the new Medicare drug program, and secured congressional funding for numerous hospitals and non-profit organizations to complete critical projects.

He also helps companies establish effective political action committees, and align their broad industry and community networks with specific legislative and policy goals.

Link previously served as deputy director of the Republican Whip office in the US Senate, and as a legislative aide to members of the US House of Representatives.

He was also vice president of federal affairs at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, and director of government relations at the American Iron and Steel Institute.  He is a partner in American Capitol Group, a national lobby firm.

Link is a graduate of Miami University, OH. He holds an MBA in International Business from American University where he was a Bryce Harlow Scholar.
